Tereza Daniell
Czech filmmaker and mother, based in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. Currently studying MA in Film Editing at ZHdK in Zurich.
Tereza worked as a documentary director,
a documentary film dramaturgist, a radio writer and director and a video editor in the Czech republic (Prague and Brno) between 2013 - 2020. She is also an author of videoart and installations mostly conducted during her time in the department for Audiovisual Studies at FAMU in Prague (2013 - 2015). She moved to Switzerland in 2020 for family reasons.
Tereza graduated from the Screenwriting and Dramaturgy department at JAMU in Brno (MA) in 2013 and from the Center for Audiovisual studies at FAMU in Prague (MA) in 2015 and also attended an internship at the Filmakademie Wien in 2009 - 2010.
Between 2015 - 2020 she has run a Film workshop for senior citizens in the non-profit organisation Inventura in Prague that was aimed at supporting and presenting the otherwise mostly invisible voices and perspectives of senior citizens through the medium of film. The workshops activity was completed by the collaborative one hour documentary film The Imprint in the Mind (2020) in which the topic of social care in an old age is reflected through the personal stories of two women from the film workshop and brings their subjective perspectives through their handy cams. In consciously non-hierarchical process of the 3 years of making the film, Tereza co-produced and co-directed the film with the participants of the workshop.
